    A public trail that runs south along the coast from Agujitas, past Cocalito beach and several coves to the Río Claro and San Josecito beach. No guide is needed and it is Drake’s most popular free activity.

    About 2–3 h one way without many stops; with photos and swims it can take most of the day.

    Tip: Start early and cross the Río Claro at low tide: at high tide the current is strong. Some boats returning from Caño take hikers back to Drake for a small fee.
