What this site is
An independent, informational guide to travel in Central America (Costa Rica, Panama, Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua): destinations, places, maps, day-by-day routes and practical information, in Spanish and English.
We do not sell trips, handle bookings or charge for any service. The "My trip" account is optional: without it, your list is stored only in your browser; if you create one, it is also saved in your account.
Intellectual property
The texts, the structure of the guide, the design and the site code belong to 2LABS unless stated otherwise. The names of parks, companies, operators and platforms mentioned belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.
The site's photographs are real and by third parties: from Wikimedia Commons, Flickr, Unsplash and Pexels, under each source's licence, and from iStock, bought under its Standard licence. They are cropped, with exposure, contrast and colour adjusted, and each one is credited on the credits page. Illustrations, such as those on place cards without a photograph, are generated with artificial intelligence and are not photographs of the exact place.
Third-party photographs keep their own licence, shown next to the original on the credits page, and 2LABS's reservation of rights does not apply to them.
You may link to any page and quote short excerpts with attribution and a link. Copying or republishing the guide, in full or in substantial part, requires written permission.
External links
We link to third-party sites: parks and official bodies (SINAC, ICT), tour operators, booking platforms such as GetYourGuide, the travel requirements service Sherpa, Google Maps and, in the map credits, Stadia Maps, OpenMapTiles and OpenStreetMap. We do not control their content or terms; once you leave this site, theirs apply.
We currently have no affiliate agreements with any platform. If that changes, we will say so in the Affiliate disclosure.
Limitation of liability
Each place cites the sources of its data (prices, hours, open or closed status, requirements) with their year, and the guide carries a review date. Those sources may be official bodies, operators, media or guidebooks, and not all of them are official. The data changes without notice (fees, park closures, volcanic activity, transport schedules) and some of it may have changed since the review. Confirm it with the source before you travel.
2LABS is not liable for changes made by third parties or for decisions you take based on this site. The guide does not replace official notices from SINAC, the National Emergency Commission or local authorities.
We make reasonable efforts to keep the site available and error-free, but we do not guarantee that it will be at all times.
Governing law
This notice is governed by the law applicable to the site owner, without prejudice to any consumer rights granted to you by the law of your country of residence.
