Practical details and sources
- Entry
- Boat, official round-trip fare per person to "Niadub–Assudub Bibbi": B/.40 (Maritime Transport Secretariat, Dec. 2022). Island charge: official amount not confirmed; the private guide PlanPTY (updated September 2026) cites US$2–5 per island, collected by each community, and Guna Yala Panama Travel's package includes a 'beach tax' without stating the amount. Two-day, one-night packages: Guna Yala Panama Travel lists an offer of US$235 per person with a night in a cabin on Perro Chico (checked October 2026), while the PlanPTY guide says the island has no accommodation; confirm accommodation and availability with the operator. The Snorkeling Report site gave at least US$110–130 per person for San Blas in general in 2022.
- Booking
- Book with the operator or the family that runs the cabins. One operator lists cabins with private bathroom and electricity only from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m.
Tip: Do not try to swim across to Isla Diablo: the channel between them has dangerous currents.
