    A car-free village on a strip of land between the sea and the canal, settled around the 1920s by Afro-Caribbean families. You get around on foot or by bike, and it has a tiny yellow church.

    A long, wild beach in front of the village, good for walking and seeing turtle tracks in season. From the park boundary to the lagoon mouth there are about 6 km of sand.

    Tip: SINAC advises against swimming because of dangerous currents and wildlife; use the beach for walking. From 1 March to 31 October it closes from 18:00 to 6:00.
